Classic Curriculum

The curriculum referred to as "Classic" includes the following:

  • Introduction, Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced
    (Available only on VHS video)
    • In 2004, Introduction, Foundations, Intermediate and Advanced were expanded and improved into Primer, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta and Pre-Algebra.

  • Basic Algebra and Geometry
    (Available only on VHS video)
    • In 2002, this was expanded into two books: Algebra 1, and Geometry

  • Algebra 2
    • In 2005, this book received a change in format and other revisions.

  • Trigonometry
    • In 2005, this book was upgraded with the addition of several lessons under the title, "PreCalculus".

All of the Classic curriculum will remain available for those who wish to continue using it.

What is needed for each level:

  • Introduction and Foundation use the Manipulative Blocks and the Skip Count CD and Coloring Book.
  • Intermediate requires the the Manipulative Blocks as well as the Fraction Overlays.
  • Advanced calls for the Blocks and the Algebra/Decimal Inserts.

Correlation between Classic and new material:

  • Classic Introduction corresponds to Primer
  • Classic Foundations corresponds to Alpha, Beta, and part of Gamma
  • Classic Intermediate corresponds to part of Gamma, all of Delta,
    and part of Epsilon
  • Classic Advanced corresponds to part of Epsilon, all of Zeta, and Pre-Algebra

If you are making the transition from the Classic to the newer curriculum, the Transition page has information to help you.
