ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS

PETER ANDERSON

Peter Anderson is a lifelong learner and self-professed “math geek.” His passion for teaching shows in his philosophy of education: “Knowledge of the subject is only one piece of what’s important. Understanding the student is a huge key in teaching. One of my greatest joys in life is to have the light bulb go on for someone.” Peter has been tutoring students for more than ten years and helped write and edit Math-U-See’s Secondary Math curriculum.

ISAAC DEMME

Isaac Demme has been involved with Math-U-See since its birth, as one of Steve’s original test students. A homeschool graduate and a lifelong scholar with a love of teaching, he now teaches several online classes at Math-U-See. Of learning, he says, “To learn, we should understand why?, and then how?, never just what? Education is more about asking the right questions than getting the right answers.” He has been involved in writing, editing, and customer support for Secondary Math courses and is an integral part of the development of new curriculum solutions for the future.
